The Moon Shall Be Red as Blood...

There's going to be a total lunar eclipse tomorrow! Maybe the moon will be red, maybe it will be charcoal grey, or maybe it will nearly disappear from sight - there's no way to know in advance (which is what makes eclipses so much fun). It will be best seen from the Western Hemisphere, but people in Europe will get a peak at it too. Look here for more information.

We've got subzero temperatures right now, and possible clouds on the way. Eclipse-watching here isn't going to be for sissies! Why does the weather always have to turn cranky when an astronomical event is about to happen?

If you can see the moon, you'll be able to see the eclipse. Just hope the clouds stay away, so you'll get a clear view!

We had clear skies, but bitterly cold weather. I lucked out, though - my front window faced the moon, so I was able to watch the entire thing without having to step outside! And it was a good show; the moon turned an ominous charcoal grey.

We had one of those down under a little white ago, it's great to see. Enjoy the eclipse! Our moon did go blood red, it was terrific.
